“It was wonderful having you as a student and as a faculty assistant for several semesters! You were always on top of things and came up with funny and creative advertisements seemingly at the drop of a hat. I enjoyed our periodic conversations about libertarianism and I am excited to see where you go from here!”

Notes for Alexa

So excited for all that the Lord has ahead for you. You have shown such resilience and depth of character and have left your mark on the House of ten Boom, King’s, and me! You are brilliant and so creative, can’t wait to see what’s next!!

Alexa- I am so thankful to know you. You’re an incredible human being. Your kindness to me meant so much to me. I wish you the best in all that you do!

Alexa! Congrats. We are always praying for you. Hope to see you and that pup soon.

Alexa, my enduring memory of you is that field trip your freshman year to see rare books at the NYPL — where only a couple other people showed up! You were always a steady presence in my literature classes and always had valuable insights to share. I wish you all the best in the future.

Alexa! CONGRATULATIONS on all that you’ve achieved. I am so grateful to have been in ten Boom, and served on exec with you. You are so talented, so capable, and so wise. You excel at all you do and are always STYLIN’ in the coolest fashions. Best wishes as you go forward into the world and bless others as you’ve blessed so many at King’s <3

Lex.
You know that I could write a book for you, so I’ll try to keep this brief. I literally tear up some times when I think of how much you mean to me and how much I admire you. It’s so funny how vastly different people can be kindred spirits, but here we are. I thank God for randomly assigned roommates, and I thank God for you. No matter how hard it’s gotten, I’ve never seen you take out your pain on someone else. I’m so grateful for the many Sundays we sat in church, shoulder to shoulder, praying, crying, laughing. I’m sad we won’t physically be in church together anymore, but know that I’ll always be around for praying, crying, laughing in the future.
Love you dearly.

Alexa,
Getting to know you has been one of the greatest joys of attending King’s! You are inspiring in everything that you do and your resilience is astounding. You have inspired me, along with many others, to be a better student and harder worker. You have such grace and poise and I just cannot say enough wonderful things about you! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you (and Hans). Congratulations and much, much love!!

Smart, beautiful, strong girl. Congratulations. You have gone through so much and that is nothing to take lightly. You should be so so so proud of yourself. I am proud of you. Much love

So thankful to know your kind heart. I wish you nothing but the best!

Alexa!
I don’t even know where to begin! My heart is just so filled up with love for you! Serving on exec together, even with all of its ups and downs, was one of the greatest experiences of my life because of the wonderful friendships I made. Your strength, your grace, and your wisdom never fail to amaze me. How can a person be an academic genius, an artistic prodigy, and a style icon and still be so kind and down to earth?? I aspire to your level of dedication, passion, and creativity. Basically I want to be you when I grow up, and I am so so lucky to be able to call you a friend. I can’t wait to watch you succeed in all your future endeavors! Tell the boys I miss them and I am so proud of their mom!!! I love you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Alexa!

Congrats!! Thank you for being such a great ten Boom sister! You were the first friend I talked with at a ten Boom Tuesday and I will never forget how welcome I felt. I cannot wait to see how you keep rocking post-grad life. So thankful to know such a GROOVY person!

Best,
Serena

Dear Lex. I clicked with you faster than anyone I’ve ever met. The first day in 17D in 2016, I felt like I had met a long lost sister. You have accomplished so much in your twenty-one years and nothing will ever get in your way. Thank you for the many day trips, coffee dates, games of pool, and hugs on our little couch. I wish you the best in everything and can’t wait to keep watching you thrive. ♥︎

Alexa!! We became friends way too late and yet you still made such a big impact in the short time we had. You made class actually enjoyable and I’m so grateful we hit it off. Thanks for the good times and I hope to see you again! Best wishes in everything ahead!

Alexa, CONGRATULATIONS!!! It was so great to get to know you during our final semester at King’s, and I hope that I’ll see you again soon. Blessings on everything ahead! (:

My favorite Corgi mom. Getting to know you over the past two years has been so amazing and such a blessing in my life. Emily and I are so thankful for our friendship with you and Savanna. We are so looking forward to getting back together and hanging out with the furry babies. Please keep in touch! See you soon!
