Notes for Jillian

I wish I had had the chance to get to know you better during your time at King’s. Congratulations on all your hard work these last few years, and please, keep writing — I want to read what you have to say!

Jillian – you are such a comedic and creative genius! Thank you for sharing your talents with SBA (and RedBubble). Also, I will never be able to look at crocs the same way. Excited to hear about all the great things you will continue to do!

Jillian, the Bernstein to my Woodward, we really have done it all. I’m so proud of you and impressed with all that you do. You truly amazed me since that first day we sat together during the MPJI scholar meeting. I am going to miss writing with you but I know we will work together again, you know, when we both end up at Vox. I can’t wait to see you again, you rockstar you.

JILL. So much to say. But it is finals week, and I have forgotten how to gather my thoughts. You’re the coolest, and I’m grateful for the crazy (weird) things we’ve done. Let me know if you find out what happened to Pier 40. I guess this is the way it had to be. Don’t forget that you can. Love you, brother.

I’m not even sure what to say.

You’re talented, bright and one of the greatest people I know. Not many people are willing to run to White Horse with me between classes and discuss story ideas. Our shenanigans are my favorite.

Woof ! Woof!

Jillian, you are truly a rock star. It has been so awesome to have you has a classmate, friend and editor. I am so excited to see your byline around and in the city!

Jill! As much as I pretend that you’re too much for me, you always manage to make me smile with your antics. I’ve enjoyed being able to freak out with you about Marvel, see Sea Wall/A Life, and so many more fond mems. I love that I can text you a crazy idea and you’re on board. You’re the best. Congrats!

Jill, my little! I am thankful everyday for our friendship. Congrats on your graduation and once we can grab drinks again, meet me at Alamo Drafthouse.

Jill, I don’t even know where to start. You are inspiring, hilarious, and thoughtful in all the best ways. I admire you so much, and will never write an article or opinion piece without thinking of you. I can’t wait to celebrate this accomplishment with you. I love you!

Jill, You are probably going to be the world’s first journalist who is a secretly a multi-millionaire because of Redbubble stickers, and I am ready to do my part to help you make bank!! In all seriousness, you are one of the smartest and hardest working people I’ve met, and seeing you meme your way through SBA has been one of the highlights of my time at King’s. I can’t wait to read the many incredible articles you’re bound to publish!! Good luck and congratulations!!!

JILL! You are seriously one of the funniest people I have ever met – let us not forget our whole car ride on the way to Pennsylvania last year, from the grocery debacle to driving in reverse on the highway. Not only are you hilarious, but you are also so kind and fiercely loyal to your friends, a quality I admire so greatly. I’ll be here cheering you on as you enter into this new season of life. Love you always & I’m here if you need anything.

OOH Jilly Billy – I love you! Stay passionate about the things that matter, like Niagara and movies. Stay safe out there, even at SNL all nighters. Stay the coolest cat out there, like only Jillian Cheney can be. Remember, while you may be gone from King’s, you can never get away from me.

Congrats chief,

I’m so proud of you for being the best multi-tasker I know and never giving up even when you have to pull back to back all-nighters. Thanks for eating all those rolls with me on the journey to Texas Roadhouse and not disowning me when I told you I actually don’t like Star Wars. I respect you for your croc jibbitz and continual growth in working harder in all you do. So proud of you jill.

God speed,
Annie

Jill, when I think of you I think of your legendary performances in the House of SBA talent show (the meme recreations is still my favorite). You can make anything memorable and you always make me laugh. Your kindness is evident in everything that you do. SBA forever, love you! <3

Dr. Carle’s historical theology class surely wouldn’t have been the same without you. I loved how much we were able to laugh our way through that 9:00am!

JILLIAN
I will always be in your debt since you introduced me to Schitt’s Creek. I love you and can’t wait to be together again <3

“I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it, don’t wait for it, just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men’s store, a catnap in your office chair or two cups of good hot black coffee. Like this.” I know you won’t forget to enjoy the coffee.

Thanks for teaching me about Texarkana and setting a high bar for the media law edition of Jeopardy!

Congratulations, Jillian! What would SBA be without you and your love of memes, your crocs, debate chops, and graphic t-shirts that are somehow biz cas!? I’m proud to be graduating alongside you and can’t wait to see you crush your future endeavors!

Jillian! Time has flown by since you arrived and hit the pavement as a reporter. I appreciate your hard work, your intelligence and your character in our classrooms and in our hallways. You are an exemplary person and student. I’m excited that you will be working with us at ReligionUnplugged this year. You will experience blessings and success because of the character and experience you are developing. “Oh Lord, teach us to number our days so that we may present to you, a heart of worship.” Psalm 90:12. Best Wishes, Prof. Glader

Jillian, I am so grateful for our time doing EST Mag together this last year!

Jillian, you are one of the funniest people I know. You have a wicked sense of humor and its been a wild ride.
