Notes for Jonathan

I wish you all the best on what’s next, Jon! I have so much respect for you as a colleague and learned a lot from you in the time we had in M&C. Thank you for contributing so much creativity and diligence to our team!

I know people say this as cliché, but I actually cannot wait to see what comes of your work. I’ve been a fan and look forward to watching whatever you make!

It’s pronounced…. SUSPENCION

(I can’t believe I couldn’t find that on your website! Plz fix.)

CONGRATS JON. I love seeing what you create. I hope we can work together on something in the future!

It’s been an absolute joy to see you grow and develop as a thinker, creator, and person these last four years. You’re a true friend and I hope to keep your company for years to come.

Jon,

I have so enjoyed getting to see you love and care for the House over the past few years. The work you put in to make sure we always did our best is admirable. I am so excited to see what you do next; I know it will be nothing short of breathtaking.

Jon,
It is a pleasure to have gotten to know you these four years and I look forward to seeing you again at Supper Clubs and Writers’ Groups when the city decides to reopen. I can’t wait to see the beautiful worlds you create on-screen! Good luck and congratulations!

Jon, thank you for always being down to attend every game night I host and for introducing me to the best new card games! Also, thank you for being the only one who showed up to my Shabbat dinner I hosted after Israel two summers ago. You were such a constant friend that summer just as you have been these past four years and I hope there are many more game nights and Shabbats in our future! Good luck on all of your great adventures and I know Cursive is going places, big places. Super proud of you, Jon.

Jon, you are seriously one of the most talented people. Thankful for your thoughtfulness and kindness to others on campus throughout the years. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for you!

Rothermel, Rothermel, Rothermel…there’s so many places to start! Then again, what’s understood doesn’t need to be said. Looking forward to our next collaboration and more late night talks!

Wow! Let’s rewind and reflect on all the joy you’ve brought into my life. Back in 2016, you took the 10D Christmas card. You’ve given me a plethora of photography advice. We ate churros and vented about life one late night in the FiDi. You’ve created beautiful films that I’m ALWAYS honored to watch. You’re funny, kind and am so thankful that we’ve gotten through these four years together!

Jon, running into you and Jackson on the commute to church the past two years has been such a joy for me! I really treasure our Sunday subway rides and lunches at Central. Anyone who knows you can tell that you are amazingly talented, but also humble and kind. I know that you will go far in life and be a blessing to everyone around you. I’m so glad that we are friends! I hope we’re all back at Central really soon.

Congratulations, Jon! I admire your passion for what you do and your amazing work ethic. Thanks for inviting friends into your home for Soup Sundays and for capturing some of my favorite college memories on camera. Blessings on everything ahead!

Jon!
Thanks for being such a great friend and creative collaborator! I love working on fun projects with you and definitely foresee that our paths will cross often 🙂

My doppelganger! So many people have mistaken us for one another that I’m convinced it’s actually the reason we first became friends. And what a friendship it’s been. From random photoshoots to working on one of your small films my college experience would not be nearly as fun if not for you. I just know you’ll be successful. Looking forward to discovering some tea I enjoy

Jon! I always enjoyed saying hi to you in the hallways (and on the NYC streets haha). You have such a kind heart and I wish we got to hang out more. You’re so incredibly talented and I know you’re going to do awesome things in the future. Stay in touch and wishing you all the best!

Dear Jon,
Heyoo! BIG congratulations to you on this wonderful and momentous achievement! I am constantly in awe of your talents, grateful for your thoughtfulness, and so excited to see what new adventures lie ahead. You are such a blessing and I am very, very proud of you. Boof!

My favorite memory was probably the first time we hung out. You were helping Em Seddon with an audition tape and I became the sound girl. Thanks for not firing me from that job and being the best person to laugh with. You are top notch Rothermel!

Remember when I told you i was making noodles and then you came over and I wasnt making noodles?

i am the worst!

ALSO I still owe you that modge podge workshop hahah.

Really excited to watch all the amazing things you make and I do expect a shoutout to be granted at some point upon request.

Stay in touch! Ill see you around the city!

Jon, you are so great! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you over the past four years. I love the way you think, and I’m glad we had so many MCA classes together. You’re so talented, and I’m really excited to see what God has in store for you!

Jon! You inspire me with your dedication to your craft and pursuit of excellence. I’m so grateful that our MCA paths crossed in film class. Wishing you success always!

Good work, Jon!!! 🙂 You’ve done such a good job kick-starting your career while managing classes and so many other responsibilities, can’t wait to see where you end up in a couple years. Thanks for always being so kind when I’ve come over to wile out with Jackson the last three years!!!

Jon, my friend! Remember that time we piled into a minivan, drive across the country and camped in Yellowstone to shoot a movie? And then drove to Nashville after that? Of course you do because that trip was literally life-changing! Thanks for being willing to do something crazy during the craziest time of my family’s life.

I’m really glad God brought you to King’s. You were first a studious, trustworthy, and creative worker on our team. Then you became a great friend to our family. Congratulations on your graduation! We’re cheering for you!

Grateful to have called you a classmate, partner, and friend these past few years. You are one of the most talented and determined people I know. No one doubts it but I’ll just reiterate that you’re going to do and make amazing things! Thanks for teaching me so much along the way. Cheers!

Jon, your creativity and inquisitive spirit are a blessing to everyone. It was always fun to catch up with you at random times and in random places. Congratulations and best of luck!

Jon, it’s been a joy knowing you these past four years. Your smiling face lit up the King’s hallways and we definitely missed that this past semester! You are so incredibly talented and I cannot wait to see where your hard work takes you!!(:

You were a steady presence on campus and in class, and I was always amazed at how you were able to continue all of your AMAZING creative endeavors while at King’s! You were also the best person to be around at a school dance. I can’t wait to see what new amazing things come out of your brain next!
