Notes for Marisa

Marisa, I’ve always enjoyed your energy and your mind in and outside of the classroom. I don’t usually trust student suggestions for media, but I trust yours. Looking forward to reading about you in some industry magazine (hopefully not in the “license suspended because of a crime” category). I think you’ll do well.

Congratulations, Marisa! Student Development will miss having you hang around the Fishbowl. You were always there for a friendly chat or to commiserate with. May God bless you in your next chapter.

Marisa! Thanks for always being such a joy to work with during events. I’ll miss seeing you around campus. Congratulations!

Marisa- I am going to miss you so much! I am so glad I got to know you through your time at King’s. I will so miss you stopping by to say hello! I am so impressed with all you’ve accomplished in your time here. I wish you the best. Lots of love!

Marisa, I can’t say enough positive things about you. You led the House (and me) so well that year, and truly kept me on my toes šŸ™‚ You have so much drive and such strong beliefs – what a combo. Go be great girl!

So, maybe we have never told you this (or emphasized it enough), but you seriously might have named our first son during the opening to Random Theme last Fall

Marisa, marisa, marisa. We have gone through so much together over the past four years. I will always remember our sessions in the Clark St. basement. I can’t wait to get back to our classic “one drink” nights out.

Marisa! Thanks for always being a solid PPE buddy and someone who wafted through academia and life your head screwed on straight. Can’t wait to see what you’ll do after graduation! šŸ™‚

Congratulations Marisa,
All that hard work has paid off.
Everyone is proud of you & all you’ve accomplished.
Keep up the good work, you’ll be unstoppable.
Uncle Steve

Marisa! I feel so honored to have watched you (from near and far) grow and mature over these past four years! You have achieved so many things because of your determination, hard work, and humor. Iā€™m beyond proud to be your Big and am so excited for your future! The world needs what you’ve got, now more than ever. Letā€™s celebrate soon!

Congratulations Marisa!!! Iā€™m very proud of all your accomplishments and looking forward to the next chapter of your life.

Marisa you inspire me!! You followed your dreams and your time at Kings, the internships and the friends youā€™ve made have only accented the amazing daughter you are. I am so proud of you!! Your strength and compassion and wonderful sense of humor are the qualities that make you. I look forward to the amazing future set before you.
Love Mom

What Sanj brought together, Ohio will not separate (or wherever you are… seriously, don’t stay there. Come back to NY and hang out with me soon!) Thankful for your friendship over the past 4 years!

Marisa Barbara Wineriter, you are such a true gem and one of my favorite people. I am so blessed we got so much closer these past two years. You push me to work harder, to live life more freely, and to love others better. You were such a wonderful president of Truth and I know the House is better for it! I cannot thank you enough for how you’ve been there for me, for being a buddy at any event, for being my roommate, and for being you! Love you to the moon and back!

Marisa!!!
So so so much love for you! Youā€™re an awesome grand-big and I wish the year didnā€™t end so abruptly so I couldā€™ve gotten to know you better! I know youā€™re going to do amazing things meemaw. Keep being awesome!

Congratulations Marisa! We are all so proud of you. Looking forward to all of your future success!

Aunt Monica, Uncle Randy, Marissa, Phil, & Jake

Marisa, congratulations on your graduation. What a wonderful accomplishment! We are very proud of you. Love, Grandma and Grandpa

Congratulations on graduating, Marisa! I hope this new season is filled with everyday joy and that you are healthy during this time. šŸ™‚

Marisa, This is one of those defining moments in your amazing journey! We couldnā€™t be more proud of our beautiful, talented and amazing granddaughter! You stayed on course and never lost sight of your vision. We are so excited to see what your future holds. Love, Grandma and Grandpa

I just want you to know what an awesome job I thought you did as president of Truth. You loved your house so well and stayed invested to the very end. I remember consistently seeing you in the King’s lobby chatting with Truth freshmen, and as a sophomore chamberlain I was so impressed and a little confused as to how you had time and energy to do that. Whenever I’ve talked to you, you have always been so funny, kind, and humble. Congratulations on graduating and I’ll be praying for you!

Congratulations on walking!! YOU MADE IT!! Onto the next, got money in her pocket šŸ˜€ Quite proud of you!! Very excited to see you upon our collective return to the city. šŸ™‚

Marisa! Thank you for the way that you led Truth! Thank you for the way that you graciously helped me lead. You are a star. <3

My dear Marisa. I hope you know how proud of you I am. I feel truly honored to have had the opportunity to go from being your house “mom”, to watching you lead H.O.T with so much grit and honesty. It is a tough job, and you handled it like a champ.

I remember nearly every Monday you and Haley would come into my apartment, we would work on Micro homework together, and then watch the Bachelor and eat an ungodly amount of cookies. I loved that you were cool with being friends with me and that I wasn’t just “your president”. Your openness and down to earth nature has served you well.

Last time I saw you, we grabbed a drink together after the induction ceremony and it was so cool to just listen to you talk and see how much you had grown in three years. I hope to take you out for a beer to celebrate this summer.

Love you girl. Congratulations on a job well done. <3

AWWWW yeeeah we graduatin’
I love you Marisa! I’m so happy we had so many classes together. You are so kind and real, it’s really a breath of fresh air to have someone so genuine. Keep in touch!

Congratulations Marisa! We know you will succeed in whatever you do. Best of luck!

Love, Aunt Diane and Uncle Knute

Marisa I wish I had spent more time with you! Every conversation we had, I felt completely understood. I admire your authenticity and willingness to be honest, and your fantastic sense of humor. Stay in New York so we can spend more time together!!

You are a joy! Thankful for these past years and so thankful to call you friend. You are one of the best!

Congrats Marisa! Youā€™re one of those people that always stopped by the SS desk that I knew would always bring a good laugh or a good venting session. I donā€™t know how you did it between FA and internships and caring for your house really wellā€” and still having good humor + humility about it all. Best wishes in post grad!!

You make us proud as Aunt and Uncle and big cousin! You did it! Julie and I look back at our first visit to Kingā€™s college, when you were checking it out as a possibility. We had fun with you in New York and I got to see my first Broadway play! Time flew by, and you are now a graduate! Congratulations, we know you are going to make a great impact wherever you go from here.

You have no idea how proud I am of you. A picture of perseverance. Always smiling and trusting. Always loving. Always faithful. Never let go of these attributes. They are Christ like and they are beautiful, as you are. No need to worry about the next step. It will come. Just trust.
You are one of my favorite regulars at the FA desk. It is going to feel so empty not seeing you there, working so hard.
I will miss you so much my Truth sister!

ā€œFor I know the plans I have for you,ā€ declares the Lord, ā€œplans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.ā€ – Jeremiah 29:11

Marisa,

One of the memories I have which I suspect will stay with me long after college is working a Freedom Gala at the Metropolitan Club with you. And it all came about because we grabbed pizza together at the start of junior year. Your service – at King’s and outside of King’s – is admirable, and your spirit is unique. No matter the situation, you always seemed to have a smile, either from gaiety or from bemusement (the latter usually quite appropriate for the occasion). We sat through several strange classes together, and you usually kept me going through periods of particular group exasperation. Keep being yourself, best of luck post-grad!

Marisa, congratulations on this major accomplishment. You should be insanely proud of yourself for overcoming all of the challenges that were thrown your way. I know it wasn’t easy for you, these four years of personal growth, and learning how to be happy in this world… you deserve to let it all sink in. Thank you for being yourself always.
xxAngel

A last minute thank you for being such a wonderful friend through the years here at King’s. When I think of someone who selflessly works hard (to the point of exhaustion at times) I think of you! Thank you for leading our house junior year, thank you for being a friend to tell things to, and for being a vulnerable trusting companion who has shared parts of your story. I cannot wait to see all you do I. have no doubt it will be world changing.

MARISA!!

You did itšŸ„³ youā€™re a GRADUATE šŸ¤© Iā€™m so proud of you and all youā€™ve accomplished! So grateful to have gotten these 4yrs with you and canā€™t wait to see where you go next šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

Marisa! Girl, we finally made it. Thanks for sharing in my experience of being an FA and for our hilarious conversations about working for Tubbs haha. I am so happy to have met you and I hope that we stay in touch! God bless and congratulations!!

From one Marisa to another, congratulations! I always loved seeing you around campus – you were such a joyful, fun presence. Best of luck as you start this new season! You’ve got this.

Marisa!
Remember when I spelled your name wrong for the first two years of college? Haha, good timesšŸ˜‚ BUT it was an honor being on the exec team with you! Your determination is so inspiring and I know you are going to end up on the TOP! Happy to start post-grad life with you as a roomie!

Marisa! My sentimental senior, we didnā€™t have nearly enough happy hour drinks but Iā€™m so thankful for your friendship through the years! I love you lots and canā€™t wait to see all that is ahead of you. I know weā€™ll see each other again and I canā€™t wait!
