Notes for MaryKathryn

Congratulations, Kat! It seems like only yesterday we were all having fun at NCFCA Nationals and now here you are graduating from college. Your hard work and due diligence is paying off. I can’t wait to see wha the next chapter holds for you and pray you will continue to seek God’s best!

Kat, you’re a rare one (in a good way). Keep us up on your triumphs and trials. Peace to you!

Congrats, Kat! It has been so great getting to know you this year. I’ll miss you popping into my office, just to say hey or update me on the coolest internship opportunities! Looking forward to hearing about all the great things you do!

Congratulations Kat! You’ve accomplished so much in your time at King’s. You always through yourself into the things you were really passionate about. I look forward to hearing about all the places you go.

Congrats Kat! Always grateful for our encounters. Prayers for what’s next.

Congratulations to you, my dear Kat! Hanging out with you was really the best part of this last year for me. Thank you for always having me over, and for being the best Percy Jackson buddy a girl could ask for.

Kat! I will miss sitting next to you in class next year! There were often many times that you would ask a question and I would think to myself, “Why didn’t I think of that?!” Never lose that quality as it is how greatness begins! Love you and wish you all the best!

Kat! I loved crushing at interregnum debate with you; genuinely it was such a good time! So grateful to have you as a Barton sister!! Congrats on graduating!!

Kat,
I adore you! You are beautiful inside and out. I can’t think of anyone I got to laugh with more. Classes sitting next to you were always my favorite. Even in the mornings when I was not-yet-awake, you were up and sharp as a tack. You will conquer the world. I am lucky to know you girly. <3 Congratulations!

Kat!
Lots of love for you! I’m so excited to see where you go next! I expect lots of Netflix Party movie viewings in the future.
Love you!

Kat, Ever since we met at Inviso and you were brave enough to talk about Walt Whitman as a visiting student in Prof. Cragin-Day’s College Writing class, I could tell you were destined for great things. It’s been such a pleasure to share so many classes and conversations with you, and I can’t wait to see how The Most Talented King’s Student from Alabama™️ (That’s you, obvs.) continues to crush it with your hard work in the Media!!!!

Kat – thank you for being a great group partner and for always bringing a smile and positive attitude into everything you do. I am already so impressed by you and your accomplishments and cannot wait to see what else God has in store for you! 🙂

Kat, I am so thankful for you. You are one of the kindest, most driven people I have ever met. I am so thankful that I get to call you friend! I can’t wait to see what kind of beautiful adventure lies ahead for you!

Congratulations Kat! You will be dearly in missed in Greenwich next year. You are a wonderful friend and a wonderful person. I’ll miss you having you just down the hall, but the road you’re walking on now is lucky to have you.

MaryKathryn Samelson… what can I even say. You are a kind, funny, and gracious friend. You are brilliant, talented, and dedicated. You are one of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, not just at King’s, but in life.
I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without you around to crush at Mario Kart and tell jokes with.
We’ve been with each other through almost any state this year, from the epic highs of a Jonas Brothers concert and Barton Sadies to the extreme lows the last few months, and I think we are stronger and closer for it.
I’m glad to know that I can turn to you for anything, and I hope that (despite all of my joking) you know you can do the same to me.
I miss you dearly and I’m extremely sad that things had to end without us getting to say a proper goodbye.
I’ll see you on our extremely chaotic FaceTimes.
Much love,
Haley

Kat. You have such a sweet spirit. You really try to see those around you and when the hard times hit, you really work to champion and encourage your friends. You work SO hard and I rarely hear you complain about it. I can’t wait to see you succeed, and am so happy to have had this wild ride with you!

Congratulations, Kat! We know you will succeed wherever you set your sights! War Eagle Forever! Much Love!

Kat! It was such a privilege to have you in class this year. Your intellectual curiosity, diligence, and enthusiasm are incredible assets and will serve you well in whatever comes next. Keep in touch!

Kat, thank you for being a wonderful friend to Haley. You have been a blessing and an answer to prayer this year. I’m so excited for your future and I hope that you girls stay in touch. You are a superstar.

Kat!

Remember Intro to journalism hahahahha.

You are such an ambitious, bold person and I really think you are going to go so far in life. Thanks for being a very encouraging classmate and for being the only one brave enough to try at an answer in class when no one else was. You saved us all from so many pop quizzes and I am eternally in your debt for that.

In the wise words of Hannah Montana,

“I hope your dreams stay big, your worries stay small.”

I wish you all the very best. Stay in touch!

Kat, you’re awesome! You’re one of the few people I remember meeting at Inviso way back when. You’ve been a great friend during these four years at King’s, and I’m so glad to have gotten to know you and work with you. I’m really excited to see what God has in store for this next season of your life!

Kat! I was bummed when I thought only one person could write on this board and Prof. Cragin-Day beat Lisi and I to the punch. But alas, I’m able to comment. You were a burst of joy and energy in our hallways – literally. I will miss the high-fives and quick updates from you (so stop by sometimes too give us some high fives). And I won’t forget how you helped orchestrate and launch the EST Weekly a few years ago. You are a go-getter. You are diligent. And you have a fun personality. You are already on your way in the entertainment industry and I know you will continue to go far. Remember to put God first and to stay in touch. “Oh Lord, teach us to number our days so that we may present to you, a heart of wisdom.” – Psalm 90:12. Best Wishes, Prof. Glader

Congratulations Kat! I wish you success in whatever the future brings, God bless!!

KAT! Honored to share a name with you! I think we’ve really had almost every King’s class together too just to make it easy on everyone. Since pre-season freshman year you’ve brought a bright light to this school and I’m so grateful to have gone alongside you the whole way. I can’t wait to see your name in the credits some day! Keep making people smile everywhere you go!

Hey Kat,

Congratulations on Graduating! Thank you for the fun and random conversations at DeVos! I know that you are going to go on to accomplish great things!

I am glad that I met you!

Kat! Thanks for carrying me in our debate rounds and bringing so much positivity and energy with you. You are so hardworking and diligent, and I wish you all the best moving forward. Congrats!

Kat, before the digital yearbook is closed, I wanted to congratulate you on earning your MCA degree and graduating cum laude. I greatly enjoyed having you in Foundations of Politics your first year, especially when we discussed Shakespeare’s CORIOLANUS. Wishing you many blessings in the future!

Kat! I have SO enjoyed getting to know you these past 2 years and being your Arts and Ideas buddy. You work hard like no one else, but still make time for a good laugh. I’ll miss seeing you in class but know you’ll be crushing it wherever you go. Much love!!
