“Richard, your serious concerns quietly cross-inhabit various worlds: athletic, moral, academic, and cyber. You have shouldered a lot in your brief years. The Lord has good labors for you in the years ahead. I am sure of that.”

Notes for Richard

Richard, we started texting before you even arrived at King’s and I knew I was going to love you. It has been a great four years with you and I am so grateful that you were in the House of Lewis. Congratulations on graduating!

Richard, you have brought wit, hugs, and a familiar face to the halls of King’s for me and the people in your community. You have been a rock for the volleyball team for the past three seasons and so much of their success stems from your leadership. Now onto your next great thing!

Congrats Richard! Always wish we found more time to hang out, but loved getting to see you whenever we had random IT issues haha

Excited for you!

Congrats to my favorite meme sharing, goldfish snacking, doggo loving human! I’m still sorry I don’t remember the lobby meeting – I promise I will do better next time. Excited for all the great things you are going to do!

Wow can’t believe you made it living off of goldfish alone! All those late nights and IT jobs really paid off. I’m so proud of you Rick!

Rick, cannot believe we made it through four years of one us of playing volleyball, goldfish, homecooked meals, and friendship! Grateful for your consistent companionship and that you’re always there to listen and give hugs when needed! SoCal pals forever!

RICHARD!! My man,

It’s been a weird ride dude. I’m grateful that we got to be roommates these past two years; I have so many weird and unforgettable memories as a result of that (most involving Gandalf repetitively nodding on a computer screen). Best of luck in your future endeavors, I’m rooting for you man!

Richard you are one of the kindest people I have ever met. Your hugs in the library got me through many painful papers! I know you will do well at whatever you pursue in life. I hope to see you again someday soon!

Congratulations on graduating from the King’s College. I’m so thankful for your friendship and the manner in which you serve the One who made you and loves you. I appreciate that I got to see a little bit about your life and meeting your mom. You are a blessed man and without a doubt, it’s been an honor to have you work beside me within IT. I look forward to hearing great things regarding your future. God bless you!

Wishing you blessings on success for the future, Richard! Thank you for always working so hard and for always remaining humble. You are an invaluable member of our community.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Richard, congratulations on your graduation! You have accomplished so much here at King’s on the soccer field, the volleyball court, the classroom and with IT. I really enjoyed our conversations this year. Don’t hesitate to stay in touch, I want to know what the next chapter brings. God bless you!

Reeeechard!
Congrats on the big day man, you made it!! I’m not sure who’s more bummed about this whole thing, you actually being the graduate, or your sister not being able to go to New York for the weekend!
I know this is not exactly how you would have imagined the weekend to go but you better believe the family and I will celebrate like no body’s businesses when the time is right. I hear there’s some good korean bbq joints out in New York calling our names, I can smell it from here!
In all seriousness though, congratulations Richard. This is a huge milestone and accomplishment in life and you should be very proud of yourself, I know how much your family is. You picked up and moved across the country and immersed yourself in a new experience and flourished. I can’t wait to see what next for you and how the Lord will direct your path and bring clarity into what is next for you, but for today, soak it all in and enjoy it, you have earned it!
Congrats Richard! Wish I was there with you celebrating with you! Hope to soon!

Richard, on this day when we would have gathered around you in prayer and celebration in NYC, I’m sending you all my love and congratulations. It has been a privilege to watch you wrestle, conquer and navigate a big city and a big field of study. I’ve always chuckled at the explanation of PPE because it isn’t the norm for most college students! You intentionally chose a path that many would not dare to leap into. It speaks volume of your character and the desires of your heart. Your hunger for knowledge and understanding is something I treasure so fondly in you.

And now as you set out as a college graduate, continuing to work hard and even at time sitting in the dirt of life, I encourage you to press into Jesus. Continue to be a student of His words, challenge the way you look at people and difficult circumstances, call on God with every single decision and give Him praise for all He’s given to you. There will be so many things that simply don’t make sense along the way, but our constant Truth is that God is good and His love and mercy will help us win the battle.

I love you little brother, and I am excited to see your next steps and how God will use your life for His glory and your good.

Congrats Rich! Your performances for the soccer team, coaching the volleyball team and work with IT kept you very busy and showed how hard you work, keep going and enjoy the next journey!

Richard!!!!
So proud of you! You’ll always be my favorite team manager on and off the volleyball court. Thanks for all your top spin jump serves to keep our defense working hard.
The best is yet to come!

Dear Richard!

Congratulations on your Graduation.
Now and always, best of luck in all your endeavors, wherever you are and whatever you do.

With all my Love,

Granddaddy, Carlo.

Richard,

Congratulations upon earning your Degree! Best wishes for you as you embark on new endeavors and adventures!

Dicky!!! My roommate and friend forever. I can’t wait to see you at the wedding. We have made so many memories in West and I will cherish them forever. I love you man!
