Notes for Sarah

You are an institution to me. I literally don’t know what I’ll do when your chair is empty next year. I hope some lame-o doesn’t try to fill it. Peace to you in your academic adventures!

Congratulations! I am so thankful for you and your dedication to the House of SBA. Thoughts on a victory lap?

Stett CONGRATS! There are no words to express how much you mean to me, and how amazing of a friend you have been to me these past 4 years. From us coming in as bright-eyed little freshman wanting to go into theater/ music industry to now with both of us going into academia… my how times have changed.
I am so grateful that you let me be part of your King’s experience and I will always remember that if we ever travel together… it will be an adventure (maybe even a Katabasis) 🙂

SARAH! I could not imagine this house without you. This past year has been the most amazing year with you. Getting to spend countless hours prepping competitions with you has been an honor. You put up with SO MANY of my shenanigans and my text messages. I cannot wait to tell everyone about how great Sarah Stett is. From sitting with me and working on House History, to literally directing over FaceTime, it’s been AMAZING. I love you and cannot wait to see everything you do!

STETT! Thank you for helping me through all my humanities and MCA classes because who knows what would have happened without you. It has been an honor to be in the house of Stett—I mean SBA with you.

Sarah,

QUEEN! BOSS! GENIUS! OUR FEARLESS LEADER!
…. Need I say more?

Congratulations!!

Sarah,

CONGRATS! I don’t know how you stayed sane taking so many extra classes a year, but I’m glad it meant that we were able to take history classes together and go on museum adventures. Best of luck in your future endeavors!

Sarah, we could not be more proud of you! You are such a bright, independent young woman with so many talents. We love you more than you’ll ever know.
Grandma and Grandpa

Stett, I am going to miss you SO much. It’ll be interesting to see who tries to steal your spot in the faculty wing, because I’m pretty sure nobody is worthy. You relentlessly inspire our house to strive hard and do well in competitions while also being the first to bring a force of reason and understanding to any discussion. I admire your hard work and dedication, and can’t wait to celebrate our house cup win with you!

I love that you’re being remembered as living in the faculty wing but I’ll remember you for otherwise living in my apartment for three years, baking, and being a great listener and friend. Hopefully I’ll see you real soon.

Sarah, you’re one of the most hardworking people I’ve ever met! I know you’re going to do amazing things and I can’t wait to hear about all of your success in the future!

I’ll genuinely miss seeing you in classes, Sarah. Thanks for all your questions and observations (and excellent work). Excited to hear about your next chapters.

Sarah! I am going to miss seeing you in the faculty wing offices and then walking by three hours later and seeing you in the exact same spot and remembering that I’m not the only crazy one who stays super late at school ;). You always dedicated yourself so fully to the House of SBA and your love for the woman in our House was always so evident. You are fiercely loyal and insanely smart. I look up to you so much, in ways you don’t even know. Thank you for being my Interregnum queen and a constant friend these past four amazing years!

Here’s to you and to a new season of joy and happiness ahead! 🙂

Sarah, congratulations! I can’t believe four years have passed since you and I were teamed up for that first Great Race. Thank you for always being willing to include those around you in whatever philosophical, historical, or grammatical debate you were conducting at any given moment! I know I enjoyed every one I was a part of. I know you’ll do great work in academia. What a strange new life we are about to jump into! I wish you all the best!

STETT! How do you do it all?! Please share your secrets with me. All of your hard work has truly paid off — and you’ve impacted so many people in SBA and at King’s as a whole. Wherever you go next, they’re lucky to have you.

We are so proud of you! You are an amazing, brilliant and beautiful daughter and …

STETTTTT!!!! You are truly and icon in my King’s experience. Actually, you’re one of the first king’s people I met (don’t know if you remember but I stayed at your apt for inviso), but I’m so glad to have gotten to know you better this past year as we’ve shared SO MANY humanities classes and had our delightful chats in the faculty wing. You are so brilliant, so funny, and so hard-working, I’m excited to see all that life holds for you!

Sarah,
You are one of the kindest and hardest working people I have ever known and you’re funny alongside that! I will miss our classes together because you helped make every lecture fun but I think I will miss just getting to hang out with you the most. From NYC to Philly to London, we’ve turned our time together into a slightly unhinged adventure and I’m glad I had you around.

Sarah, you are a treasure. I love how dedicated you are to your classes and education. Your crazy amount of audits just shows how much you love learning, and I know that will serve you well wherever you end up! Not only are you smart, you are hardworking and committed to excellence. You put the time in to do good work. You are humble and never too busy to help someone out. I can’t count how many times I heard you tell someone that you’ll send them a study guide or a Quizlet, or give them advice about a class, test, or professor. There is NO ONE who can take your spot in the faculty wing. I vote they put your name on the chair and keep it as a monument to you. You’ve also done so much for SBA, from driving the vans to House retreat to taking photos to running strategy for Great Race to crushing our Interregnum victory. If something is in your hands, it will be done phenomenally. Paris and I would always say “Oh Stett’s doing that? We’ll win.” Your tireless work, encouragement, and friendship have blessed me SO much, as well as many other people at King’s. SBA forever <3

Thank you SO much for being the FA for Arts & Ideas. Your exam reviews saved me life!!

Sarah, I always admired your devotion to whatever you do. You have a brilliant mind and were always very kind to me. So glad we were in the same house! I wish you all the luck in the world.

I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet you officially this year. It was always a pleasure to see you in the morning. Thank you for all you have contributed to Kings, especially in MCA! Blessings on all your future endeavors!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Sarah, you’re so great, and your smartness scares me. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know you during these four years at King’s, and I’m really excited to see what God has in store for you!

Sarah, you are an academic powerhouse. I have always admired your vast knowledge and dedication. King’s will not be the same without you in the faculty wing! Congrats!

Sarah, I have always admired your work ethic, intelligence, and strength of character. You helped me through PWS in more ways than you know, and I’m so grateful for that and our shared enthusiasm for history! You were a staple of the faculty wing, and I always looked forward to catching up with you in between the file box carrying. I’m so excited to watch what you do post-grad, and know that you’ll chase excellence in whatever you do!

Sarah, knowing you has been a pleasure. We all know your academic achievement is unmatched, but your overall dedication to those you love is more praiseworthy. I can see it in your involvement in SBA events (particularly Interregnum, of which you are a queen), your thoughtfulness and care for issues at the school, and how you will proofread other people’s papers even when you have your own to write. Needless to say, I don’t need to wish you luck on your next adventure–you have what you need already. I’m just excited to watch it happen. Let’s all go to Philly again sometime and spend some real time at the Barnes, and also London even though the Elgen Marbles might be gone. When you find yourself the head curator of an ANE collection somewhere, I’m coming for a tour. Love you lots friend!

Sarah, Before the digital yearbook is shut down, I wanted to congratulate you on earning your degree and graduating summa cum laude. It was a pleasure having you in Foundations of Politics in spring 2017, and thanks for your many contributions to that class. Wishing you many blessings, and I hope that I will see you at the SBA Alumnae Dinner in the future.

Stett,

Thanks for having the best advice on classes and profs. I truly don’t know how you found the time to help so many people with their homework while completing your own! Thank you for being so generous with your time and talents and for being an honest and open ear. I’ll miss running into you in the faculty wing, but know you’ll crush it wherever life takes you next!
